Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is making preparations to take the vote of confidence on July 12.

Prime Minister Dahal will take the vote of confidence in the meeting of the House of Representatives on July 12, a member of the parliament secretariat told Nepalkhabar.

“Even though a formal program is yet to be set, the Prime Minister’s secretariat has told the parliament secretariat to make preparations to this end for July 12,” a source at the parliament secretariat said.

CPN (UML) on Wednesday withdrew its support to the government and its ministers have tendered their resignations, accordingly.

The Prachanda-led government has fallen into minority after the UML ministers resigned from their posts.

On July 1, largest parties in the parliament, Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) had reached an agreement to form a new government.

According to the agreement, UML Chairman KP Oli will lead the government in the first phase while NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba will lead in the second phase until the next general election is held.
