Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) led by Ahok Rai has withdrawn its support to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

JSP, a splinter of Janata Samajbadi Party, Nepal (JSP-N) led by Upendra Yadav, has seven members of parliament (MPs).

There are two ministers and one state minister in the Prachanda-led government, representing JSP.

Pradeep Yadav is the Minister for Health and Population, Nawal Kishor Sah Sudi is the Minister for Forest and Environment and Hasina Khan is the Minister of State for Health.

Earlier on Wednesday, CPN (UML) recalled its ministers and withdrew its support to the government.

After the two largest parties represented in the parliament formed a new power equation, the Prachanda-led government has fallen into minority.

Amidst this political turmoil, Prime Minister Prachanda is taking the vote of confidence on July 12.
