The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), which was established in the run-up to the elections, received 1,130,344 votes under the proportional representation (PR) category of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Based on this number of votes, 13 PR MPs will be elected from the RSP, according to the Election Commission (EC).

The RSP has submitted a list of 107 PR candidates to the EC. Of them 13 candidates will be selected from the closed-lit.

Dalit, Adivasi-Janajati, Madhesi, Tharu and Muslims are not among the parliamentarians of RSP who directly won elections in Chitwan 1 and 2, Kathmandu 2, 6, 7, 8 and Lalitpur 3. That is why the party has to give priority to these clusters while electing PR candidates.

Similarly, 33 percent of the total 20 seats won directly and under PR category by the RSP, i.e. around 7 women should be elected as per the constitutional provision. Dr. Toshima Karki and Sobita Gautam have been elected directly.

Now the remaining 5 women should be elected mandatorily. However, if women are given priority in this way, Adivasi-Janajati, Khas-Arya, Dalit, Tharu and Muslim quotas can be adjusted.

According to the existing system, Adivasi-Janajati should have 28.70 percent, Khas Arya 31.20 percent, Tharu 6.60 percent, Dalit 13.80 percent, Madhesi 15.30 percent and Muslims 4.40 percent in the House of Representatives.

On this basis, RSP will be able to select 6 people from the Adivasi-Janajati cluster. Directly elected from Kathmandu-8, Biraj Bhakta belongs to the Adivasi-Janajati cluster. Now, the RSP has to select 5 candidates from this cluster.

Indira Ranamgar and Sumana Shrestha, who are on the closed list, can be elected from the women's quota. Their names are in number one and number two in the list.

Similarly, Dr. Dhakakumar Shrestha and Megh Bahadur Ale will also become PR MPs. One among Bishnu Kumar Shrestha and Shekhar Chandra Rai will also be elected.

After 5 people are selected from Adivasi-Janajati cluster, now 8 people are left to be elected by RSP.

It still needs three women to make up 33 percent.

Six elected lawmakers -- Ravi Lamichhane, Shishir Khanal, Ganesh Parajuli, Hari Dhakal, Sobita Gautam and Dr. Tosima Karki -- belong to the Khas-Arya cluster. This is the number that RSP will get to elect under Khas-Arya.

RSP can elect 3 candidates from Dalits. Kalpana is one of them meeting the criteria. As the names of Santosh Pariyar and Shiva Nepali are in the first and second on the list. Both of them are likely to be elected.

Similarly, Sabina Mahato is likely to be selected from Tharu cluster.

RSP, which can elect only 3 people from Madheshi cluster, is certain to elect Manish Jha. There is a strong possibility that Tapeshwar Yadav will also be selected.

Similarly, since Lakshmi Tiwari's name is in number 1 among Madhesi women, she is also likely to become a PR MP.

Similarly, Samina Miya is more likely to be elected from the Muslim cluster.
