MIHS and Vilnius University sign MoU for exchange program

The Madhesh Institute of Health Sciences (MIHS) and Lithuania-based Vilnius University have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on running an 'academic exchange program'.

The MoU was signed between the two institutions to exchange on-hand learning and experience of health services.

With the decision for signing the MoU, a team from Lithuania on Wednesday made an on-site inspection of the hospital under the MHIS.

On the occasion, the visiting team members enquired information about the services being delivered under the banner of MHIS.

Likewise, both the sides also discussed the matters of exchanging experience, opinion and qualified human resource in the relevant sectors.

Vice-Chancellor of the MHIS Dr Ram Kewal Saha said the signing of MoU would be helpful in enhancing quality service delivery of the MHIS. The University would also extend support in the research works to be undertaken by the MHIS, Dr Saha added.

According to the MHIS official sources, the two sides held intensive discussion on how to implement the MoU.

Also present on the occasion were the representatives of Vilnius University and MHIS Registrar Dr Binod Yadav.
