Bangladesh has made a flying start in the ongoing SAFF U-20 Championship underway in Nepal.
Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka 2-0 in the match played at ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Lalitpur on Tuesday. Bangladesh took a lead 1-0 against Sri Lanka in the first half of the game and added 1 more goal in the second half.

Sri Lanka, who suffered its second defeat in a row in the group stage has crashed out of the Championship.
Bangladesh and Nepal, who got their first win in the Championship, have reached the semi-finals ahead of one match each. Now, Nepal and Bangladesh will meet in the final match of the group stage on Thursday. The match will decide the group winner and runner-up.
Similarly, Maldives and Bhutan will face each other in a Group B stage match on Wednesday.
