Nepal has entered the final of the SAFF U-20 Men's Championship by defeating Bhutan.
Nepal made it to the final after Nepal routed Bhutan 4-1 in the penalty shoot-out in the first semi-final of the championship held at ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Lalitpur this afternoon.
The game was pushed into a tiebreaker after the score ended in a tie 1-1 in the allotted time. Ram Thapa, Avinash Syangtan, Simanta Thapa and goalkeeper Jiyarath Sheikh scored for Nepal in the tiebreaker.
Only Jetsuen Dorji's strike yielded a goal for Bhutan. Bhutan's Jigme Namgyel and Dorji's shots were blocked by Nepal's goalkeeper Jiyarath Sheikh.
Nepal will now play the winner of the second semi-final match between India and Bangladesh for the title. The second semi-final match will be played on Monday.

After the first-half ended in a goalless draw, Bhutan took the lead after Jetsuen scored a goal in the 56th minute.
In the 71st minute, Nepal's Avinash Syangtan's free kick was brilliantly saved by the Bhutanese goalkeeper. In the 74th minute, Avinash' free kick went over the crossbar.
In the 77th minute of the game, Bhutan team was reduced to 10-man team after Kingzang Tenzin was awarded a red card. Bhutan has been awarded red cards in three consecutive matches during the championship.
After Bhutan was reduced to 10 players, Nirajan Dhami's header got Nepal back into the game, leading to a tiebreaker as no more goals were scored.
