The Foreign Minister of Oman, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi, has arrived on a two-day official visit to Nepal.
Nepal’s Foreign Affairs Secretary Sewa Lamsal received Minister Badr Albusaidi at Tribhuvan International Airport a while ago.
Minister Al-Busaidi has arrived in the Himalayan nation at the invitation of Foreign Minister of Nepal, Arzu Rana, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the visit, he will engage in bilateral meetings with his Nepali counterpart, focusing on discussions to further enhance the Nepal-Oman relations.
The Omani Foreign Minister will also pay courtesy calls on President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli during his visit, according to a press note issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal.
The first bilateral diplomatic consultation mechanism meeting was held between Oman and Nepal in Muscat on August 7. Nepal and Oman, who share similar views on several global agendas, had established their diplomatic relations on January 21, 1977.
Omani foreign minister Albusaidi will return home on Tuesday, wrapping up his two-day Nepal visit.
