Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has formally expelled suspended General Secretary Dr. Mukul Dhakal from the party.
A Central Committee (CC) meeting, held on Tuesday, decided to expel Dr. Dhakal from the party, revoking his membership status, in line with the disciplinary commission.
The meeting held at the central party headquarters in Chamati took a decision to this effect, an office-bearer of the party told Nepalkhabar.
RSP had suspended General Secretary Dhakal for allegedly involving in anti-party activities. Dhakal had been given a 35-day deadline for clarification.
RSP decided to expel Dr. Dhakal after he continued to openly criticize and undermine the party, even following his suspension," said a party official.
