The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has stated that it is currently raining in some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki provinces and a few places in Karnali Province. The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours was 91.2 mm in Jhapa district, according to the Division.
According to the Division, the weather will remain generally cloudy across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain/snowfall with thunder/lightning in some places in the mountainous region of the country. Similarly, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain with thunder/lightning in many places in the hilly region of the country.

Meanwhile, meteorologists have said that there is a possibility of moderate rain in the Kathmandu Valley this afternoon as well.
According to meteorologist Hari Prasad Dahal of the MFD, light rain is currently occurring in Changunarayan area this morning. "But there is a possibility that the rain will subside in a while," he told Nepalkhabar, "There is a possibility that it will resume again in the afternoon."
The Kathmandu Valley will see a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day, he said.
