A man has died in a clash that took place in a birthday party celebration at Ghyampedanda in Bhaktapur.
The deceased has been identified as Raj Karki, a native of Bardiya currently residing in Sallaghari, Bhaktapur.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Deepak Kumar Karki, spokesperson for the District Police Range, Bhaktapur, a group of 30 to 40 individuals had gathered at Ghyampedanda on Sunday night to celebrate a birthday. A heated argument broke out during the dinner, leading to a physical clash.
Raj sustained severe injuries during the fight and succumbed to them on Tuesday while undergoing treatment. His body has been currently kept at Duwakot Hospital.
Police have taken 30 individuals present at the scene into custody for questioning as part of their ongoing investigation into the incident.
