Nepali Congress is organizing various programs on July 22-23 on the occasion of 44th Memorial Day of its late leader BP Koirala.
The Central Policy, Research and Training Institute of the Nepali Congress is organizing 'green run' in Kathmandu Valley on July 22 morning to create public awareness about climate change.
At a press meet organized by the NC on Monday, NC Vice-President and Institute Chief Bishwa Prakash Sharma shared that five-kilometer run is going to be organized under the slogan 'Let's gather to create climate change public awareness'.
Similarly, group-wise discussion comprising experts on 'Challenges of climate change: How to address it?' would be organized at Jawalakhel chowk after the race, he added.
Likewise, artists would paint pictures depicting challenges and possibilities of climate change at the same place simultaneously.
A program along with announcement of party's new campaign will be held on July 23. The party would also establish 'Humanitarian Assistance Fund' depositing the amount from its fund based on the number of people that participated in 'Green Run'.
The NC Vice-President opined that the amount of 'Humanitarian Assistance Fund' would be spent for the welfare of elderly persons and children of the recently displaced landless squatter families.
Similarly it was shared in the press meeting that the NC would organize a seminar on 'New circumstances: New resolutions, new campaign' at City Hall on the same day.
