Former Prime Minister and Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has emphasized that the 10th National Games should be held in the scheduled date.

After inspecting the Karnali Province Stadium in Surkhet today, he said the 10th National Games should be held in Surkhet as per schedule and if there is an attempt to postpone it under any pretext it will be a disaster for thousands of athletes and sports lovers.

He also expressed the belief that the stadium would become the center of the sports attraction in western Nepal and would contribute significantly to the development of the athletes.

Former Chief Minister of Karnali Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, former Sports Minister Bimala KC, Member-Secretary of Karnali Sports Council Bishwamitra Sanjyal and other officials were present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, Chairperson Dahal congratulated bronze medalist Palesha Govardhan and other sportspersons taking part in the Paris Para-Olympics 2924. He said that this historic victory by Palesha is a matter of pride for Nepal.
