Domestic flight services have been affected due to 'en-route' inclement weather today.

According to Rinji Sherpa, the spokesperson at the Tribhuvan International Airport TIA, two domestic flights have been diverted due to 'en-route' bad weather.

A flight of Yeti Airlines flown to Simara from Kathmandu was diverted back to Kathmandu after reaching the sky of Simara. Similarly, another flight bound for Biratnagar also diverted back to Kathmandu from the middle of the route due to bad weather.

Likewise, the bad weather has affected the mountain flights. No mountain flights are taking place today. However, international flights are operating without hassles.

Currently, the weather is under the influence of monsoon winds with the low pressure line located toward south of the usual position, the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has said.
