Three Nepalis against whom red notice had been issued repatriated from Dubai

Three Nepali nationals who were wanted by Interpol on charges of fraud and rape were arrested in Dubai and repatriated to Nepal on Wednesday.

Those repatriated are 42-year-old Bhupendra Bohara of Miklajung Rural Municipality-4, Panchthar and Kabir Budhathoki alias Riyaj, 28, of Nagarjun Municipality-9, Kathmandu.

Similarly, Roman Karki, 46, a defendant in a rape case, of Indrasarobar Rural Municipality-5, Makwanpur, currently staying at Chandragiri Municipality-10, Kathmandu, has also been repatriated.

Additionally, Roman Karki, a 46-year-old resident of Indrasarowar Rural Municipality-5, Makwanpur, who was wanted in connection with a rape case, was arrested in Dubai and repatriated to Nepal.

They were repatriated to Nepal from Dubai on Wednesday, the Nepal Police headquarters has said.

On May 30, 2022, the General Secretariat of the Interpol had issued a red notice to arrest Bhupendra Bohara, another red notice on August 8, 2013 to arrest Kabir Budhathoki and on June 26, 2024 to Roman Karki at the request of the Nepal Police headquarters.
