Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli held a meeting with the Foreign Minister of China, Wang Yi on the sideline of the 79th United Nations General Assembly on Thursday.
Taking to X following the meeting, Prime Minister Oli said, "I had a productive meeting with the Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Wang Yi today."
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed Nepal-China bilateral relations and reaffirmed their strong, time-tested friendship grounded in the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, according to the X messages posted by the Prime Minister.
Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, Prime Minister'a Advisor Bishnu Rimal, Joint Secretary at the Foreign Ministry among others were present during the meeting from the Nepal side.
Similarly, Prime Minister Oli also held a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on the sideline of the 79th UN General Assembly.
The two leaders discussed enhancing cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral forums, expanding trade, investment, tourism, and cultural ties during the meeting, according to X message posted by Oli.
Similarly, Prime Minister Oli also had a fruitful meeting with the Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.
Prime Minister Oli, who left for New York on September 20 to attend the 79th UN General Assembly, will return home on September 30.
