100 thousand people leaving Valley on a daily basis for Dashain

A 100 thousand people on average are leaving the Kathmandu Valley for their home towns to celebrate Dashain on a daily basis.

According to DSP Rabin Karki of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Office, there is a traffic congestion at all the four checkpoints of the Valley.

 "The number of people exiting the Valley increased today compared to the last three days. On average 100,000 people are leaving the Kathmandu Valley for their home towns to celebrate Dashain on a daily basis since last Sunday," said DSP Karki.

Similarly, around 30,000 people on an average are entering the Valley, informed Karki.

A huge traffic along with passengers is visible at Bus Park, Kalanki, Balkhu, Koteshwar and Sitapaila, currently.

Passengers are exiting the Valley through the route of Arniko Highway, Tribhuvan Highway, Prithvi Highway and Dakshinkali-Hetauda Highway and Kanti Highway.
