While Vijayadashami, the main festival of Hindu people, inches closer, people in general are wary of what kind of weather condition would it be during the Dashain festival.

The Dashain festival is not only meant for eating and wearing beautiful dresses but also meeting with one's family members, relatives, and friends. The fine weather creates a favorable atmosphere for people to observe the festival.
Saptami, the fourth biggest day of Dashain, falls on Thursday (October 10), Ashtami and Nawami, the third and second biggest days fall on Friday (October 11) this year. Vijayadashami is on October 12.
Meanwhile, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued a weather bulletin forecasting the weather condition for these three days.
According to the weather bulletin, the weather will remain generally fine during the period of these three days.
Light to moderate rains are expected in Koshi, and Madhesh and only in the hilly parts of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
However, the mercury is likely to go down during this period.
According to the weather bulletin issued targeting this Dashain, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy with chances of light to moderate rains in a few places of Koshi and Madhesh and in one or two places in the hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. The weather will remain generally fair in the rest of the provinces.
The temperature is likely to go down in most of the places during this period, the Department has said.
