Eight passengers injured in Makwanpur pile-up

Eight people have sustained critical injuries in a pile-up that occurred in Makwanpur on Wednesday evening.

According to the District Police Office, Makwanpur, a passenger bus, Ba 3 Kha 2723, heading to Hetauda from Kathmandu hit two cars, Ba 2 Ja 983 and, Ba 2 Ja 80, both coming to Kathmandu from Hetauda, after it went out of control due to brake failure.

The bus fell some 10 meters down the road after hitting the two cards, and leaving eight people injured, said DPO, Makwanpur.

The injured have been sent to Chitwan for treatment. The condition of the other 20 passengers is said to be normal. The injured are from two cars and the bus, the police have said.
