A Bangladeshi team has arrived in Kathmandu to participate in the SAFF Women's Championship 2024.
The Bangladeshi team arrived in Kathmanudu on Tuesday morning to play the SAFF tournament which is scheduled to kick off from Thursday.
Prior to this, teams from Maldives and Pakistan have already arrived.
The seventh edition of the SAFF Championship is being held in Kathmandu from October 17 to 30. This is the third time Nepali is going to host the championship.
Earlier, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and India have hosted the championship one time each. Host Nepal, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, Bhutan, and Bangladesh will participate in the championship to be held at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu.
Participating teams have been divided into two groups: Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bhutan, and Nepal are in Group B while India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh are placed in Group A.
As scheduled, India and Pakistan will lock horns in an inaugural match of the championship on October 17, Nepal will take on Bhutan on October 18.
India has won the championship title five times already and Bangladesh has lifted the trophy one time.
The estimated budget for the championship is 46 million, 800 rupees, the organizer has said.
