Former DPM Lamichhane presented before Kaski District Court

Former Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has been presented before the Kaski District Court.

Rastriya Swatantra Party President Lamichhane, who was whisked to Pokhara following his arrest in Kathmandu on Friday, was taken to the Kaski District Court a while ago for the extension of his remand.

Preparations are being made to lodge a case against Lamichhae on three charges of misappropriation of financial co-operative funds, organized crime and money laundering, Office spokesperson Basant Kumar Sharma said.

He was arrested in Kathmandu the day before yesterday on charges of embezzlement of funds from the Suryadarshan Savings and Credit Cooperatives Limited and subsequent organized crime and taken to Pokhara the same night.
