A secretariat meeting of CPN (UML).
CPN (UML) has endorsed the decision to build the party office in the land donated by Bhat-Bhateni owner Min Bahadur Gurung amidst criticisms from all quarters.
An office-bearer of the UML said that a party secretariat meeting held today took a decision to this effect.
Similarly, the meeting also decided to seek clarification from those UML leaders who went against the party's decision regarding the construction of the party office building.
UML Chairman KP Sharma has been furious after some leaders within the party voiced against the party's decision to build the party office on the land provided by Gurung.
Chairman Oli had laid a foundation stone for the construction of the central party office at Kirtipur Municipality-2, Maitrinagar on October 11.
However, it was criticized by some leaders within the party itself.
Lashing out at the party's move, standing committee member Binda Pandey said that taking donation from a disputed businessman is nothing but to lower the dignity of 500,000 active members of the party as well as that of 2.8 million voters.
Coming down heavily on anti-activities within the party, Prime Minister Oli in the secretariat meeting today commented that the number of 'anti-elements' is increasing in the party and warned that they would face actions.
