Bangladesh has widened the lead in the first half of the first semifinal of the SAFF Women's Championship underway at Dasharath Stadium on Sunday.
As the first half of the semi-final was over, Bangladesh registered a 5-1 lead against Bhutan.
Tohura Khatun and Sabina Khatun scored two goals each for Bangladesh while Ritu Porna Chakma netted a goal, widening Blangaldesh's lead over Bhutan.
In the seventh minute of the first half, Ritu Porna Chakma's powerful shot from outside the box turned into a goal.
In the 15th minute of the game, Bangladesh doubled the lead with Tohura Khatun's goal. She scored a beautiful goal, leaving two Bhutanese defenders stunned.
In the 26th minute of the game, Sabina Khatun's goal gave Bangladesh a 3-0 lead. Sabina struck the ball into the net utilizing the pass from Monika Chakma.
In the 35th minute of the game, Tohura Khatun netted another goal, giving Bangladesh a 4-0 lead.

Likewise, Captain Sabina's score in the 37th minute gave Bangladesh a wide lead 5-0 in the first half.
In reply, Bhutan scored a goal against Bangladesh taking the score tally to 5-1 in the 41st minute. Deki Lhazom netted the goal capitalizing a cross from Chiring Laden. This is the first goal ever scored by Bhutan in the SAFF Championship.
In the semi-finals of the previous edition of the SAFF Championship, Bangladesh had defeated Bhutan 8-0.
