A tension has flared up at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar while the second half of the semi-final between Nepal and India under the SAFF Women's Championship was going on.

In the 71st minute, India took the lead 1-0 after India's Sangita Basfore scored a goal against Nepal.

No sooner India scored the goal, than Nepal's Preeti Rai leveled the score after the umpire blew the whistle signaling that the match kicked off.

However, the umpire invalidated the score on the ground that the Indian team was not ready. It led to a hulabaloo in the stadium.

The jam-packed stadium awaits anxiously as uncertainty looms over whether the match will resume.

Prior to this, the Nepali team was reduced to a 10-palayer team after Rekha Paudel was awarded a red card.
