One among two foreign tourists missing in course of mountain climbing has come in contact.

A 50-year-old person from Czech Republic came in contact of Hire Guesthouse at Langtang, according to a tourism entrepreneur. Chief of District Police Office in Rasuwa, Keshav Bhattarai, confirmed the tourist's contact to a local hotelier.

The Czech Republican tourist along with another 34-year-old Slovakian national had gone to Yala Peak (7,234 meters) of Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-3 in Rasuwa district. They had left for an expedition via Kathmandu Trekking Company, Thamel two weeks back.

However, another trekking mate is still out of contact.

Search via air was launched for two days- Friday and Saturday. Senior pilot of Altitude Air, captain Bibek Khadka said that the trekkers had informed that the Slovakian climber fell into a gorge of over 30 meters deep in the high hill. His sleeping bag was found near the gorge, he added.

Captain Khadka further informed although an all-out effort was made via helicopter on Friday, adverse weather badly affected the search and rescue operation.  A sleeping bag was spotted in the course of the search on Saturday evening.

Meanwhile, a 43-year-old German national has been airlifted to Kathmandu after he was found stranded due to a leg injury in the Gosaikunda trekking. (RSS)
