Kirtipur's Bishal KC, 34, dies in Australian fire

A Nepali national has died in a fire that broke out at St Albans in Melbourne, Australia. The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Bishal KC of Kirtipur Municipality-4, Kathmandu.

According to his family members, the postmortem for the deceased is underway and after completing the legal procedures, the body will be brought back to Nepal.

Bishal died in a fire after the house he was staying in caught fire on Sunday. Despite attempts to rescue him, he could not be saved, the firefighters told the local media outlets.

Bishal was staying in his room with his friends on Saturday night. The house he was staying in caught fire on early Sunday. He could not escape from the fire.

According to Sushil Baskota, his relative, Bishal had gone to Australia 10 years ago. He was unmarried. Preparations are underway to repatriate his body to Nepal in coordination with the NRNA, and the Embassy of Nepal, Australia.
