The tri-series scheduled between Nepal and Scotland under the ICC World Cup League 2 held in America has been canceled after the rain played a spoilsport.
The match was canceled after Nepal made 26 runs losing one wicket in five overs. Invited to bat first after losing the toss at the Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas, Nepal was batting against Scotland when the umpire canceled the match after heavy rains started.
With the cancellation of the tri-series final match, Nepal and Scotland have shared one point each.
Earlier, Nepal defeated Scotland by five wickets in the first match and lost to America in two matches.
America defeated Nepal by three runs in the first match and in the second match by 37 runs.
Nepal is in the seventh position with two wins, eight losses and two draws out of 12 matches played in the series.
Out of 12 matches played under League 2, Nepal clinches one win each against Netherlands and Scotland.
Similarly, Scotland is in the third position with six wins, two losses, and two draws.
Likewise, home team America is in the top position with eight wins (16 points), and four losses out of 12 matches played so far.
With the cancellation of the match, Nepal's recent tour of the United States of America has come to an end.
The Nepali cricket team will visit Scotland to play the next series under League 2 in 2025.
