Krishna Prasad Oli, who has been recommended as the Nepali Ambassador to China, has received an agremo.
Oli, whose nomination has already been approved by the Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC), received an agremo from the northern neighbor during the Tihar festival.
The government on July 29 had recommended ambassadors for 19 countries.
According to a Shital Niwas source, the agremo is yet to reach the Office of the President due to Tihar and Chhat festivals.
The government is making preparations to send Oli to China prior to the upcoming China visit of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
The PHC on September 19 had endorsed the ambassadors including Oli for 16 countries.
Rita Dhital has already been appointed as the ambassador to Pakistan, Ramesh Chandra Paudel for Qatar and Dhan Prasad Pandit has been appointed as the ambassador to Israel.
Oli is being sent to China in hopes of facilitating Prime Minister Oli's upcoming China visit, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers said.
Prime Minister Oli has received a formal invitation from his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang. According to the invitation, he will visit China on December 2-6.
After doing a thorough homework by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both the countries will formally announce the upcoming China visit of Prime Minister Oli.
