A high-ranking diplomatic source has informed that Prime Minister Oli's visit to India has been confirmed and the date will be made public in a few days.
Oli was making efforts through various channels to improve relations with India and preparations for his India visit had been underway for quite some time.
A source at the Prime Minister's secretariat has also informed that Oli's visit to India has been confirmed and that the preparations have reached the final stage.
According to the source, Prime Minister Oli will visit India in the first week of December. Both sides will publicly disclose the date of the visit after a 15-day preparation period.
Since it is November 15 today, sources say that the date will be made public in a few days.
Due to the Prime Minister's visit to India, the visit to China may be delayed.
Prime Minister Oli has already received a formal invitation from his northern neighbor China. The Chinese side has also proposed December 2-6 as the date for Oli's visit.
Prime Minister Oli had a bilateral meeting with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi in New York, USA, on September 23.
