The list of the candidates for the local level by-elections scheduled for December 1 is being published today.
According to the Office of the Election Commission, the list of the candidates will be published by 6 pm.
Complaints were taken and examined against the nomination files of the candidates on Monday (November 18).
Candidates can withdraw their candidacies, if they are willing to do so, from 9 am to 1 pm tomorrow
Candidates, if any, can drop out of the race tomorrow between 9 am and 1 pm tomorrow (November 20) and the final list will be published from 1 pm to 3 pm. The election symbols will be conferred on the candidates from 3 pm to 5 pm on the same day (tomorrow), according to the election schedule.
The by-elections will be held on December 1 from 7 am to 5 pm to elect people's representatives for 44 vacant posts.
A total of 44 people's representatives including two chiefs of district coordination committees, the mayor and deputy mayor of municipalities, two chairpersons, four vice chairpersons of rural municipalities, and 34 ward chairpersons are being elected.
