Medical professional Durga Prasain, who was arrested on charges of cybercrime and document forgery today, is to be detained at Police Circle, Singha Durbar.
A team of Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) apprehended Prasain from his residence in Bhaktapur on Tuesday morning.
"Following his medical examination at Bir Hospital, he was initially taken to the Cyber Bureau. However, due to lack of detention facilities there, he was subsequently transferred to Police Circle, Singha," said Cyber Bureau Chief DIG Nabinda Aryal.
He was not presented before the district court for a remand since Prasain's medical examination was delayed, said Aryal. Hence, he will be produced before the court for the extension of his remand.
Prasain, who was arrested twice in two months for criminal charges, will be investigated for document forgery and cybercrime, said CIB Chief Deepak Thapa.
