With the winter season inching closer, the Kathmandu Valley's temperature is decreasing every day. The temperature which was recorded at 9.9 degrees Celsius on Tuesday has plummeted further today.
According to Sanjeev Adhikari, a meteorologist at the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the temperature of the Valley was recorded at 9.2 degrees Celsius at 5:45 am, the lowest of the year, today.
"The temperature is on the decreasing trend. The temperature of the Valley has gone down today compared to yesterday," Adhikari told Nepalkhabar.
The day's minimum temperature is recorded at 5:45 am and 8:45 am every day while the maximum temperature is recorded at 5:45 pm. Hence, today's maximum temperature will be revealed in the evening today.
Currently, Nepal is experiencing post-monsoon season. It will last till November. Then the winter season will begin. However, the cold has gripped well before the start of the winter season.
