Visiting Indian Army General Dwivedi receives guard of honor, offers tributes to war memorials

A guard of honor has been offered to the visiting Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army, General Upendra Dwivedi, at the army headquarters of the Nepali Army.

A squad of the Nepali Army offered the guard of honor to General Dwivedi on Thursday morning.

After receiving the guard of honor, Dwivedi headed to the Nepali Army pavilion, Tundikhel, where he offered floral tributes to the war memorials.

Dwivedi, who came on a five-day visit to Nepal on Wednesday, is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with his Nepali counterpart, Ashok Raj Sigdel, at the army headquarters today itself.

President Ramchandra Paudel will also confer an honorary rank of the Chief of Army Staff of the Nepali Army on General Dwivedi.
