An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale has stuck with its epicenter in Annapurna region bordering Kaski and Manang.
According to the Seismological Center, Lainchaur, the tremor was recorded at 10:13 am.
However, no casualties have been reported until the posting of this news.
The tremors were felt in Manang, Kaski, and some parts of Myagdi and Mustang districts, locals have said.
Earlier, an earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale had struck the central region with its epicenter in Dolakha district on November 7.
Nepal lies in a fault zone as the Indian plate is constantly pushing against the Eurasian (Tibetan) plate, resulting in seismic activities in the Himalayan country, said Geographer Ganesh Kumar Jimee.
Jimee further said Nepal lies between the two tectonic plates -- Indian plate and the Eurasian Plate -- and their constant push against each other is creating energy. When the energy gets accumulated and strained, it releases in the form of seismic waves.
