Joint Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai has been appointed as the acting Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers on Thursday evening appointed Rai as the acting Secretary of the Foreign Ministry.
Secretary Lamsal has been transferred to the Office of the Prime Minister.
The parliamentary hearing of Lamsal, who has been recommended as the Nepali ambassador to Belgium, has also been completed.
