The temperature of the Kathmandu Valley went down further on Wednesday morning, forcing residents to huddle around heaters for warmth.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius at 5.45 am today (Wednesday), according to Sanjeev Adhikari, a meteorologist at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. However, the Division will measure the minimum temperature at 8:45 am. There is a possibility that the temperature might drop even further.
The minimum temperature increased slightly, reaching 8.8 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, compared to 8 degrees Celsius on Monday.
According to Adhikari, the Valley is overcast by fog, currently. "The Kathmandu Valley is likely to remain foggy for some hours this morning and the weather is likely to remain misty in the afternoon," said Adhikari, ruling out the chances of rain.
