Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President and former Deputy Prime Minister Rabi Lamichhane has been brought to Kathmandu from Pokhara on Thursday evening.
He was airlifted to the capital city on a flight of Buddha Air.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Kaski Basanta Sharma said that Lamichhane airlifted to Kathmandu to record his statement after the Kathmandu District Court issued an arrest warrant on charge of the embezzlement of funds from Kathmandu-based Swarnalakshmi Cooperative.
Investigations against Lamichhane are ongoing in Pokhara too on funds embezzlement from Pokhara-based Suryadarshan Savings and Credit Cooperatives Ltd. and organized crime by taking him under police custody since October 18.
Earlier, Lamichhane was taken to Rupandehi from Pokhara for investigations on the alleged embezzlements of funds from Supreme Cooperative.
