Five people have died and three others sustained critical injuries in a vehicle accident in Ramechhap district on Friday afternoon.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. According to DSP Pradeep Singh of District Police Office, Ramechhap, the Force Van veered off and fell some 300 meters down the hilly road at Simaldanda in Gokulganga Rural Municipality-6.
A total of eight people were traveling in the ill-fated 14-seater Force vehicle.
Ramechhap Chief District Officer Raju Prasad Paudel said that one of the injured has been taken to Manthali Hospital and the other to Tamakoshi Hospital for treatment.
One of the injured is on the way.
The vehicle was heading to Betali of Ramechhap from Kathmandu.
