Historian Purushottam Shumsher Rana has passed away. He was 99.
Rana who was admitted to Mediciti Hospital in Lalitpur due to high blood pressure breathed his last in the course of treatment this afternoon, his daughter-in Bhagawati Rana said.
Born on March 28, 1926, in Charburja Durbar (now Bahadur Bhawan, home to the Election Commission), Rana was a notable historian and author.
Rana has written popular historical books including Lukechhipeka Pratibhaharu, Mera Jeewanka Smritiharu to his credit.
