Bhatta's family was preparing to return home; tragedy befell them

Ramdatta Bhatta of Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur, who was working at the Education Development and Coordination Unit, Doti, was transferred to Bajura just a few days ago.

Bhatta reached Bajura on Friday and reported to the office. When he went to Bajura, he was accompanied by his wife Radhika Bhatta and other relatives.

According to family sources, Bhatta was preparing to return home to Mahendranagar from Bajura on Sunday. That day, Bhatta stayed back in the office. Five people, including his wife Radhika, set out to visit the Malika Temple in Martadi.

After visiting the temple, they were preparing to come to Mahendranagar on Sunday. Unfortunately, before they could return to the office in Martadi, the jeep, Sudurpaschim Province 01-001 Cha 4316, in which they were traveling, met with an accident.

Bhatta's wife Radhika lost her life in the accident. His relative Lokendra Panta of Bhimdatta Municipality-17 in Kanchanpur was injured. Panta's wife Gayatri also died on the spot.

Similarly, Mohan Dev Bhatta of Krishnapur Municipality-5 and Ramesh Dhami of Gaumul Rural Municipality-4 in Bajura were also injured in the accident. Mohandev was driving the vehicle. Dhami was a cook at the Education Development and Coordination Unit in Bajura. 

The last rites of the deceased are being performed at Bhujela Ghat on Monday according to Hindu traditions.The two injured have been brought from Bajura to Dhangadhi in Kailali for treatment.
