Over 600 Nepalis apply for electronic passports in Malta

Over 600 Nepali citizens have applied for electronic passports in Malta.

A joint mobile team from the Department of Passports and the Nepali Embassy in Spain collected the passport applications forms from the Nepali migrants living in Malta.

"As many as 650 passport applications have been submitted by individuals with expired passports, those with less than a year of validity remaining, those who have lost or damaged their passports and those children born in Malta," informed acting Nepali Ambassador to Malta, Yagya Raj Paudyal.

The mobile service which lasted for five days, around 700 Nepalis availed the service, informed Ambassador Paudyal.

Around Rs 1 million in revenue was collected through mobile camp, according to Paudyal.
