23-yr-old youth stabbed to death in Lalitpur; three including restaurant owner netted

A 23-year-old youth has been gruesomely murdered at Satdobato in Lalitpur.

According to SP Nawaratna Paudel of District Police Range Office, Lalitpur, 23-year-old Nayan Gurung of Itahari, Sunsari, currently staying in Lalitpur was stabbed to death on Monday night.

The police have arrested three individuals including 26-year-old Hemraj Bhatta of Dadeldhura, currently staying at Lalitpur Metropolitan City-9, Chyasal in connection with the incident.

The incident took place at Town of Cafe in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-9, Chyasal around at 9:15 pm yesterday. Bhatta who was arrested is the employee of the restaurant, the police said.

"The incident occurred over a dispute that cropped up during bill payment," SP Paudel told Nepalkhabar, "The customer was attacked with a sharp knife during a dispute that cropped during bill payment."

Gurung, who sustained critical injuries from the knife attack, breathed his last in the course of treatment at B and B hospital in Gwarko, the police said.

A team from the Police Sector, Balkumari and District Police Range, Office, Lalitpur apprehended the restaurant owner and the cook following the incident. SP Paudel said a further investigation into the case is underway.
