Child singer Sachin Pariyar, who first stole the limelight after he was interviewed by a Gulmi-based YouTube, passed away on Thursday morning.

According to a press note issued by TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj  Pariyar had a congenital third ventricular cyst. It is a rare benign brain tumor that occurs in three out of one million people.

He was first diagnosed to have a congenital third ventricular cyst when he was 10 years old and underwent neurosurgery for the treatment of the condition. It was when he was becoming viral on social media for his songs. Pariyar had received offers for music videos and acting roles during his heyday.

He gave his voice to songs including Rumal Khaschhaki, Ke Chha Hajur, Rato Rabara, Otha Kholera, and Barko Chhayale, which earned him a devoted fanbase. He also performed in a music video alongside Nepal’s legendary actor, Rajesh Hamal, and acted in the popular comedy series Meri Bassai.

He was also enrolled at a school at the initiation of artist Krishna Kandel of Indreni.  He stood first in Nursery Class of the school. However, as the time passed by, his health condition worsened. He was graded average in LKG and failed some subjects in UKG. Then he dropped out of the school. Despite Sachin's poor health, his father, Tejendra, took him to different fairs and encouraged him to participate in various programs, including music videos and acting roles.

Originally from Gulmi, Pariyar, 15, had repeatedly been treated at TU hospital for more than five years. Even though he underwent neurosurgery for the treatment of the condition, he could not recover fully, due to "non-compliance of the treatment advice and was repeatedly admitted in the past with different problems," the hospital said.

As his condition worsened, he was admitted to the hospital five days ago (on December 28), with acute onset fever and shortness of breath along with seizure and altercation of sensorium. He was diagnosed with pneumonia, multiple organ failures including kidney injury, encephalopathy and bleeding, according to the hospital.

He was being treated on a life support system at Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Sanchin passed away at 10:49 am today, despite all efforts by doctors to prolong his life, the hospital administration announced.
