Two persons held on fraud charge

Two individuals have been apprehended for allegedly defrauding people by falsely promising them employment opportunities in Poland.

Those arrested in this connection are 31-year-old Krishna Yadubamshi of Bishnupur Rural Municipality-7, Saptari district and 37-year-old Rajesh Baram of Gorakha. They were held on Tuesday, according to the Central Police Newsroom.

Accused Krishna had taken Rs 7 million 248 thousand 150 while Rajesh had taken Rs 890 thousand from various people giving assurances of finding them work in Poland. The two accused had absconded after taking money from the victims.

A police team deputed by the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested Krishna from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-31 and Rajesh from Teku, Kathmandu, after the victims filed complaints.

The two accused have been sent to the District Police Range, Kathmandu for necessary action.
