Nine held for vandalizing Tata Sumo and thrashing driver

 Police have arrested nine individuals on the charge of vandalizing a Tata Sumo and thrashing its driver in Kavre.

The arrested are the drivers of two cars, Ba 3 Cha 3494 and Ba 3 Cha 5621 and other individuals traveling in them, informed DSP Min Bahadur Ghale of the District Police Office, Kavre.

However, their names have not yet been revealed. 

Tata Sumo, Na 1 Ja 6172, which was coming to Kathmandu from Mangaltar, was intercepted and vandalized by them at Namobuddha Municipality-2, Bela, along the BP Highway on Tuesday evening.

"The car drivers and the people traveling in them vandalized the Tata Sumo and thrashed its driver when the TATA Sumo and the car coming from the opposite direction got stuck in a narrow road," DSP Ghale told Nepalkhabar, "The attackers who were on the run following the assault were arrested from various places last night. Legal actions have been initiated against them."

The investigation into the case will be carried out after taking them on a remand from the court.
