Israelis staged a demonstration in Tel Aviv on Saturday demanding the release of kidnapped Israelis, including Bipin Joshi.
Thousands of Israelis have staged a demonstration in Tel Aviv, demanding the release of Israelis, including Nepali student Bipin Joshi, who were kidnapped by Hamas in Israel. Nepali Ambassador to Israel Prof. Dhan Prasad Pandit also participated in the program held following the demonstration.
A huge number of Israelis holding placards gathered in the biggest city of Israel, Tel Aviv, on Saturday, offered prayers and staged demonstrations demanding Israelis kidnapped by the Hamas militant group on October 7, 2023.
A placard among those held by the demonstrators could be spotted featuring the image of Nepali student Bipin Joshi.
The demonstrators have expected that it would be the last demonstration of this sort before the swearing-in ceremony of Donald Trump as the president of America. President-elect Trump is taking the oath of office and secrecy on January 20.
The talks have been initiated between Israel and the Hamas group. To create environment conducive, Hamas has made public the list of 34 people taken hostage. However, Bipin Joshi's name does not feature in the list.
US Ambassador to Israel Jack Lew, British Ambassador Simon Walters, German Ambassador Steffen Seibert, and Nepali Ambassador Professor Pandit among others were present at the event on Saturday. US Ambassador Lew had flown to Tel Aviv from the capital Jerusalem to participate in the event as his term was drawing to a close.

"I met and talked to ambassadors from America, Britain and Germany during the program held at the Tel Aviv Square," Ambassador Prof. Pandit said, "During the meeting, I requested them to take the initiative for the release of Nepali student Bipin."
American Ambassador to Israel, Lew is returning home this week upon completing his tenure. Newly elected US President Trump has picked already Mike Huckabee as the new Ambassador to Israel.
"Ambassador Lew has directed his staffers to prioritize Bipin's release at the earliest since he is returning home this week," said Ambassador Pandit, "Now, the issue of Bipin's release has also been a priority of US Embassy in Israel."
Ambassador Lew had reached Tel Aviv, a city almost 65 km from Jerusalem, at a time while his term was drawing to a close.
Even though most of the embassies are located in Tel Aviv, US Embassy is situated in Jerusalem, the capital city of Israel.
"While Nepali Embassy is in Tel Aviv, American Embassy is in Jerusalem," said Pandit, "I got an opportunity to meet with the ambassadors from US, Germany and UK as they were invited to attend the program at Tel Aviv."
The kin of the Israelis kidnapped by Hamas also attended the event participated by thousands of Israeli people at Tel Aviv.
