Rabi Lamichhane taken to court from police custody

The bail-hearing for former Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, a defendant in the embezzlement of Swarnalakhsi Cooperative funds case, is taking place today.

Lamichhane, who is doing time in the police custody of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, was taken to the District Court, Kathmandu a while ago.

Lamichhane, who had been in the custody of the District Police Office, Kaski, since October 18, was released on a bail of Rs 6.5 million on January 9.

He arrived in Kathmandu on January 10 and appeared himself before the District Court, Kathmandu on January 12.
