Ashika Tamang, a viral social media campaigner, has been arrested.
Tamang was arrested on the charge of misbehaving security personnel on the premises of Pashupati Temple.
Police said they are investigating the case by keeping her in the Police Circle, Gaushala.
Acting on a complaint lodged by the police on January 9 and the other one by Pashupati Development Trust on January 10, a team of police deployed from the Police Circle, Gaushala, apprehended her.
She was arrested from Swayambhu area a while ago for misdemeanor after taking an arrest permission from the District Administration Office, Babarmahal, the police said.
