Shram Sanskriti Party Chief Whip Aaren Rai stated that despotic leaders are deliberately spreading confusion about federalism.
Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Wednesday, Chief Whip Rai said that confusion has been created about federalism being costly. "Those who run a dictatorial regime have created confusion about federalism," Rai said, "Improvements can be made where they need to be improved, federalism should not be interfered with."
He warned the government not to tamper with federalism in the name of amending the constitution. "The government is trying to tamper with federalism arbitralily," he said.
He said that the government should run on a democratic path. "Run the government through democratic methods and processes," he said.
He accused the government of trying to suppress the rights of the people in a dictatorial manner. "A government that bubbles over with arrogance will eventually trigger its own downfall," Rai warned.
