Vice President Yadav meets Qatari Amir in Doha

Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav on Wednesday had a courtesy meeting with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha, Qatar.

According to the Office of the Vice President, the high-level meeting took place at the Lusail Palace in the city of Lusail, Qatar.

Vice President Yadav is in Qatar to hand over a condolence letter on behalf of the Government of Nepal and Nepali citizens over the demise of former Amir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

On the occasion, Vice President Yadav extended his condolences to the Amir, the royal family, the Government of Qatar and the people of Qatar.

Likewise, Vice President Yadav handed over a condolence letter sent by President Ramchandra Paudel to Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim over the demise of former Amir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

Vice President Yadav was accompanied by senior officials from the Office of the Vice President, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Charge d'Affaires of the Nepali Embassy in Doha, and other officials.

Vice President Yadav had left for Qatar on Tuesday to extend condolences on behalf of the Government of Nepal. Yadav is scheduled to arrive home today.
