The Nepali Embassy in Bangkok has urged Nepalis to avoid traveling to countries including Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand falling into the temptation of lucrative jobs.

Issuing a notice, the Embassy made this request citing Nepali nationals have been suffering in the name of attractive employment in these countries.

A Nepali citizen, who was lured by the promise of attractive job in Myanmar and forced into illegal work, was repatriated to Nepal on Friday with the help of Thai authorities. The man had fled to Thailand from Myanmar.

The Embassy requested all Nepalis to adhere to legal guidelines and seek foreign employment only with valid labor permit.
